Women's Representation Form On Turkısh Newspapers

In turkey, newspapers' sex is man and because of that they are printed in that way. 90% of the writers (yazar kadrosu) are man. In this direction,world perception of news is being shaped with mens eyes.daily language of newspapers is sometimes ignoring our womens existence,sometimes insulting and sometimes bearing them down with words. Undoubtedly,women keeping quiet against this language is a cause of things not changing in turkey. When we look at the news headlines of newspapers, we come across to a mentality which bears down and humiliates women.the cause of we are coming across to this type of headlines and news is reporters using wrong language and editors lack of education.for example if an expression like 'husband gone mad' is being engraved, it is very dangerous.ıf we use an expression like this,reader will think that she deserved it. It is nothing more than legalizing violence. Another example is, in rape news the picture of aggrieved person shouldn't be published. But in turkey,there is no such conscious. As it's seen here woman has no value.even in printed media, insulting women is being done.women are seen as a sex meta. Even in an unrelated topic, woman body is being used unnecessarily. It's been forgotten that woman is an individual.ın one page,2 news included with woman. One of the news content is important. But the other news content is being emptied. So it's balanced.also on the back pages of newspapers, woman body is exhibited for mans pleasure.most of the news about woman includes women being a victim. When media companies broadcasting woman victims bloody scenes, they aren't aware of outraging upon justice of women.ıf necessary adjustments won't be done in judical system, these wrong things will continue to happen.
On newspapers 3rd page news, in stories, a social problem like prostitution is being embroidered with pictures of woman body and face very normally. It's being thought that they deserve it and nobody judges these pictures. They say ''she deserved it,why hiding her face?'' unfortunately, carelessness will spread out with these conditions. When the things woman experienced being told, linguistic and visual expression approaches to pornography.
When these things are told barely and longly,it shows that it's becoming a normal thing and that's a very dangerous situtation. News headlines intervene sexist prejudice to come out…
