New Medıa

We can say that, there are two different kinds of media: the traditional media and new media. They are very different from each other. Traditional media is a one-way, but the new media is a two-way model. In traditional media, the content of the message is creating by journalists or broadcasters and deliver to audience. It uses classical mass communication tools; such as tv, radio, newspapers...Traditional media doesn’t allow audiences to share their opinions and to give a feedback quickly in a short time.

However the new media benefit from digital technology. It exists with computers. New media presents more interactive communication to us, cause the public is also participating to generate the message. In this media the public is determinative and active about the message.

There are many websites that allows users to create the content of the message. Users can publish and share their own writings, videos, photos and the other contents in these forums, blogs and websites. E.g. people can publish their own videos in Youtube or ideas and knowledge in Wikipedia or photos in Deviantart.com… People can also share their feelings and opinions with one click just in a few seconds.

This people-centered new media is extended in the last 4 years and continue to extend with a great speed. It is a speech-based communication form and more interactive than traditional media.
