DIFFERENCES OF PR& ADVERTISING

There are some differences between advertising and public relations. First of all the aim of advertising is trading, but the aim of public relations is to inform public about the topic. Advertising says that you, your product or servise is good but public relations find the people who says that you’re good and maket that people speak. Advertising is devoted to influence us, it try to touch our senses and it’s communicaiton can be controlled. Thats why adversitising gets the response recently. But public relations give information, so its feedback needs a long while.Public realtions includes lots of things in it, for instance mass communication tools are essential for PR. They gain value if these are used successfuly. PR is an organized system. We can say that it is an art that aims to make public internalize current attitudes or to persuade public to create an act in a particular way. Advertising is one of the most important point for PR. Advertising is a publicty(identification) and you can persuade public with identification in other words with advertising. In advertising the product is in the foreground but in PR the company is in the foreground. Advertising is a medium. It is commercial and devoted to profit. It has a certain target audience. It doesn’t has widely evolution(expansion) like PR. I want to give an example which explains the differences between advertising and PR: The Capitol PR Director Melih Şabanoğlu says: “Advertising is like Hiroshima it tie it up with a bomb. But PR is like the Stalingrad War. It persevere by cleaning the every street one by one. Finally, actualy PR and advertising are both aim to identify the brand and make it consumed. They try to give positive impressions to public. Advertising do this with saying “this is an advertising” but PR do this implicitly.
